This is thanks mainly to the original signage being made up of brickwork instead of traditional signs, something that has worked in its favour for well over a century as it has barely faded. The facade of the building, on the corner of Park Road and Northumberland Street, acts as a kind of information board in its own right. With its isolated setting and bold lettering on the outside, the former warehouse stands out a mile from its immediate surroundings. The striking red brick Coleman's Fireproof Depository in Toxteth is one of the city's most recognisable buildings.
